Thank You Davis County Grant Foundation
The Davis County Grant Foundation has selected two of Drakesville’s Non-profit/ volunteer organizations to receive grant funds to help with projects for the Drakesville City Park. The Davis County Grant Foundation awarded the Drakesville Fire Department (working with the Davis County Old Soldiers and Settlers Reunion) $5000.00 and the Drakesville Betterment Committee (working with the city and the park board) a grant of $4500.00. Both awards were presented on December 19,2018.
Our Fire Department along with the Davis County Old Soldiers and Settlers Reunion have teamed together and will be putting restroom facilities down by the area.
The Drakesvile Betterment Committee ,the Drakesville Park Board and other volunteers will be adding new swings to our playground equipment. There will be 4 swings – 1 handicap accessible, 1 for baby/toddler and 2 standard swings.
It is the goal for both of these projects to be completed in 2019.
